Ah, here’s a blast from the past. Riding home on the train today, I decided to spin up a track I’ve not head for ages on my iPod: Zuton Fever.
This song’s moment comes at 0:00 – yes, that’s right – at the start of the song. A simple guitar intro, 12 seconds long, each note a statement of intent. This song, and this band want you to enjoy yourself.
(Warning: static video, great song).
I first got introduced to The Zutons when they were supporting The Coral at Sheffield University’s Foundry. This was one of my first gigs at University, and it was certainly a corker.
I’ve loved the band since, though I must admit it’s been a while since I’ve given this track a spin. I’m pleased I did tonight.
